Kittery Wish List Update

kitterySunday, February 8, 2009—A while back we proposed that our readers let us know where in Kittery we ought to be distributing the Gazette. So far, we have received a total of three suggestions, from one reader.

First, we’ll list those suggestions, then we’ll announce a change designed to get more response.

Here’s the list as it stands:

  • Chef’s Cove Cafe (formerly the Crooked Lane),
    Golden Harvest, and
    Starbucks at the outlet.
  • Our thanks to Chip for sending those in.

Now, we were anticipating more of a response. But we think we may know why we didn’t get it. In our appeal we said that it would be “[m]ost helpful [to get] nominations from people who personally know the owners or operators.”

An astute reader explained that since she didn’t personally know the operators of the places she had in mind, she didn’t make any suggestions.

So, we’re leaving that bit out altogether, for now. Let’s keep it simple, and work up a list first. Then we can worry about getting OK’s from the people in a position to make them.

So, have at it, folks — where in Kittery would you like to be able to pick up the Gazette?

    1. Some other places, if they’d have ’em —

Beach Pea Baking Co. -great place to sit with a paper and eat lunch
      Carl’s Meat Market
I’d love to see it at the Navy Yard pub!
Tulsi, the Indian restaurant next to the new venue Bouy, has a little lobby where free literature might be nice to find…
