Sunday, January 25, 2009—Some time ago we had a volunteer who distributed the Gazette to a number of place in Kittery. Sadly, his work took him elsewhere. At present we have one stalwart friend who brings copies every fortnight to the Rice Library, but that’s it. It’s a shame, particularly now that the Memorial Bridge is suddenly on the “Expendable” list. So, we want to expand—or rebuild—our distribution in Kittery.
We could sit here and arbitrarily work up a list of places to put the paper. But we had what we think is a better idea: let our readers in Kittery use the “comment” feature of this post to nominate places for our Kittery Distribution Wish List.
Good candidates would be locations where other free papers are already being distributed. Most helpful would be nominations from people who personally know the owners or operators.
Once we have worked up the list, we’re going to ask for a couple of volunteers who can the the paper around to those places every other Friday. There’s no money in it, but our other volunteer distributors say it’s a lot of fun.
Fair Tide Thrift Store and either or both Papers Ink/D Pratt Framers (both “downtown” shops owned by Lory and David Pratt).

How about the Beach Pea Bakery, it would be great reading in the morning with coffe and a scone! Also Terra Cotta Pasta to take home with fresh pasta for stimulating dinner conversation : ). Great paper keep up the good work.

I work at the Rice Library, and patrons continually ask for your publication! I think that Chef’s Cove Cafe (once the Crooked Lane), Golden Harvest, and even Starbucks at the outlet would be good spots, as well!
