Monday, August 31, 2009 — Well, folks, it looks like, in the interests of honesty and truth in advertising, it’s time to paint the White House red.
At Saturday’s Town Hall on Health Care, the aptly-named Diane Bitter, who according to the Portsmouth Herald is “of the Rye Republican Committee,” expressed her view that the country is being run by un-elected Communist and Socialist Czars in the White House.
At about :42, as Ms. Bitter explains how these evil-doers are “creating a shadow government that will control the power and the money,” there’s a lucid catcall from the audience, to which Ms. Bitter responds.
Rep. Carol Shea-Porter responds in the next clip, and tries to explain to her constituents, in between the catcalls, how representative government works.
Thanks for your help, Rabbett!
Yup! Fixed nicely. Keep up the good work!

When an 18th century newspaper meets 21st century technology, we suppose a certain amount of bafflement is inevitable. Thanks very much for asking your question in such a way that we were able to understood what the problem was. It has now been fixed. Or at least we think it’s been fixed. If anyone has trouble viewing it, please let us know.
Why is the YouTube video reply by Rep. Carol Shea-Porter a private video? Was that a mistake in posting?
Please fix, I would like to view it. Thanks!
